The experienced jewelers at each of Brown and Company’s locations in Atlanta can conduct jewelry appraisals of all types. If you recently inherited a piece of jewelry or you’re thinking of selling an old favorite, bring it to us first to get an accurate value.

Brown & Company Jewelers recommends our customers update their jewelry appraisals a minimum of every three years. Gold, diamonds, precious gems and jewelry have all appreciated at record breaking rates. Gold is up over 300% in the last 5 years, diamonds from 30-50% in the same period! Most people that suffer a loss today are under-insured and lose thousands of dollars due to old outdated appraisals.

We are proud to employ one of the top qualified appraisers in the state of Georgia. Mr. Coren has over 39 years of experience, including sorting diamonds for major DeBeers syndicate members and estate buying of fine jewelry and antiquities on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. Our appraiser has many areas of expertise including diamonds, colored stones, fine jewelry, antique period jewelry, fine watches, clocks, crystal, porcelain, and collectibles. With each item appraised, you will be provided with documentation accepted by all insurance companies.

If you would like to be present during the appraisal, an appointment is required. Appraisal items may also be checked in through our service department.
